Before you chalk it up to adherence, check the math. Most stalls trace back to one of a handful of mistakes and they're easy to fix one you know what to look for.

The 3 Deficit Mistakes That Stall Client Results
If a client isn't losing weight, coaches usually blame compliance first. But after years of training coaches inside masterminds, business programs, and 1:1 mentorship, I've seen the real culprit is almost always upstream of that in how the deficit was calculated in the first place.
Here's what's usually going wrong:
-
Defaulting to a flat -500 calorie cut instead of basing it on the client's body fat %
-
Starting too aggressively for a client whose BMR is already low (from age, height, or weight)
-
Not adjusting for clients sitting at a 1.2 activity multiplier
-
Treating "20% deficit" like a magic number instead of a range that depends on the client
I made every one of these mistakes when I was new to macro coaching. I didn't know when to start a deficit, when to end one, or how deep was too deep, I was just guessing and hoping.
This guide is something I wish I'd had.

Since 2014 I've helped clients get real results eating the foods they love without restriction.
