This is not a beginner coaching program. The Functional Nutrition Coaching (FNC) certification is built for coaches who already have a foundation and are ready to go deeper than any other certification on the market.
All enrollees must meet both requirements before joining:
They've been dismissed by their doctors. They've tried tracking. They're doing "everything right" and nothing is working. They don't need another meal plan. They need a coach who understands what's actually happening inside their body.
Her thyroid labs came back "normal" — but she's exhausted, gaining weight, and losing hair. You want to help but don't know what to look for.
She has PCOS and every diet attempt backfires. You're guessing instead of coaching from data.
Her gut is a mess, bloating, food sensitivities, irregular cycles. You know gut health matters but have no system to address it.
She's perimenopausal, stressed, and not responding to a standard deficit. You need hormonal context to coach her effectively.
Interpret blood chemistry panels, DUTCH hormone tests, and GI-MAP gut tests and actually know what you're looking at.
Navigate PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, perimenopause, cortisol dysregulation, and more — without guessing.
Design fully customized programs from real client data — not templates and guesses.
You order the labs + receive the results while being backed by licensed practitioners to offer functional lab testing and create a new revenue stream inside your biz
Become the go-to functional nutrition coach in your market earning $400–$700/month or more for specialized support.

One of the best decisions I've made. Just got a text from a friend whose friend was brushed off by her doctor and her symptoms were dismissed — similar to what I experienced from more than one provider myself. So thankful you helped me get answers, feel better, and now help other women do the same.
This certification has been the most challenging, interesting, mind-blowing one I've done. @eveguzmanofficial is truly the GOAT educator. So grateful I get to sit under her mentorship.
When I started this course, she was the #1 person on my mind. I would love to do anything to give her just a little bit of relief. Thank you so much for reviewing labs with me and all of your insight. I am forever learning in this course.
I wasn't able to join live but catching up on the case studies now and I really love them — they bring everything we're learning together and show how to work through it with real clients. I hope we can do some more!
Eve Guzman spent nearly two decades as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, running tests, analyzing blood chemistry, and studying hormones, gut markers, and metabolic dysfunction in clinical and research settings. Then she built MacroU, where she has certified over 1,800 coaches worldwide.
FNC exists because Eve sat on both sides of that equation — and realized no one was bridging them. The science is in the labs. The application is in the coaching. FNC teaches you to do both.

What are the prerequisites to enroll?
All enrollees must hold a current nutrition certification from an accredited certifying body (or a BS in science or related field), and have at least 1 year of online or in-person coaching experience. FNC is not a beginner program — it is designed to elevate coaches who already have a foundation.
How is the program delivered?
FNC uses a self-paced model. You'll access pre-recorded course modules inside the FNC portal and work through them on your schedule. You also receive 14 weeks of group support — community Q&A, live case study calls, and lab review assistance — beginning from your enrollment date.
How much time should I expect to commit per week?
Approximately 2 hours per week on curriculum, plus around 1 hour per week for group calls and community interaction. The certification exam must be completed within 12 months of enrollment.
Is this a certified program? Do I earn CEUs?
Yes. The Macro University is an approved provider with NASM, ISSA, and AFAA. CEUs are granted upon certification completion (NASM: 1.9 / AFAA: 15.0 / ISSA: 20.0). Your certification is valid for 2 years and renewable through continuing education.
How does the certification exam work?
There are 11 multiple-choice quizzes throughout the course. A passing rate of 80% is required to receive your certificate. You can complete the exam at any point within 12 months of enrollment.
What is the investment?
Enrollment is $2,197. Waitlist members receive early pricing notification before the general public. Functional nutrition coaching rates range from $300–$700/month, with 1-hour consult rates of $150–$300/hour — most coaches recoup their investment within the first one to two clients.
How does FNC differ from Macro Mentorship?
Significantly. Macro Mentorship teaches you to build a coaching business — including business strategy, templates, and client acquisition. FNC is strictly a clinical functional nutrition program with no business-building support. Many coaches complete Macro Mentorship first, then use FNC to expand their clinical capabilities and offer premium services.
Do I need to be in the U.S.?
No. FNC is available internationally. Note that functional lab ordering with physician oversight is currently only available for clients located in the U.S. (some state restrictions apply, including New York).
Waitlist opens Summer 2026. Spots are limited to protect the quality of the cohort experience.
